Queen Mohloki Rabecca Motaung Appointed as “Mapakiso” of Mooidraai Farm Royal Authority

MOOIDRAAI FARM — His Royal Highness, Tibisi April Motaung II, Principal Traditional Leader and Supreme Authority Leader of the Mooidraai Farm Royal Community and Authority, has on Thursday, 2 July 2026, issued an official royal decree announcing the formal appointment of his wife, Her Majesty Queen Mohloki Rabecca Motaung.

In a move to honor ancestral legacy, Her Majesty has been bestowed the traditional polygamy name “Mapakiso.”

This name directly succeeds the elder queen wife of the late monarch, King Tibisi April Motaung I, ensuring the continuity, strength, and heritage of the royal lineage.

The divine appointment takes effect immediately across the entirety of the Mooidraai Farm Royal Community and Authority. Her Majesty Queen Mohloki Rabecca Motaung “Mapakiso” will immediately assume her royal duties, standing alongside His Royal Highness to lead, protect, and serve the community.

Government Recognition Underway

The Mooidraai Farm Royal Community and Authority has already initiated the formal administrative processes required for state integration. Arrangements are currently underway to secure official recognition for Her Majesty with the Department of Cooperative Governance and Traditional Affairs (COGTA) ahead of her upcoming gazetting.

The royal household warmly invites the community, stakeholders, and the public to join them in celebrating this historic milestone.

A Legacy Restored and Honoured

The succession of His Royal Majesty King Tibisi April Motaung II represents more than a formal transition of power; it is the fulfillment of a sacred birthright. By succeeding the late His Majesty Monarch King Tibisi April Motaung I, the incoming Monarch carries forward a legacy deeply rooted in service, spiritual stewardship, and community development. Elders note that the interim period of spiritual consultation ensures the new administration remains tethered to the values and historical triumphs of its predecessors.

Community Impact and Cultural Pride

Local residents and traditional leaders have expressed immense pride and anticipation following the announcement of Her Majesty Queen “Mapakiso” Mohloki Rebecca Motaung’s appointment and the upcoming royal ascension. The dual milestones are expected to:

  • Strengthen local governance frameworks by solidifying traditional administrative leadership.
  • Unify the Royal Families through shared spiritual rites and ancestral consensus.
  • Ignite cultural revitalization across the region, inspiring younger generations to connect with their heritage.
  • Boost regional tourism and cultural awareness as dignitaries, historians, and neighboring traditional authorities gather for the upcoming events.

In a rapidly modernising world, the Mooidraai Farm Royal Traditional Authority’s adherence to sacred customs serves as a powerful reminder of the resilience of African traditional leadership. The upcoming formal coronation is poised to attract widespread attention, serving as a beacon of cultural preservation. As the Royal Authority finalises the schedules for the traditional rites, the community stands unified, ready to witness history and welcome the dawn of a prosperous new reign.
