The JB Marks Local Municipality spokesperson Jeanette Tshite confirmed that the municipal systems have been fully restored and are now operating normally on Tuesday, 07 October 2025.
“The municipality extends sincere gratitude to residents and officials for their patience, cooperation, and understanding during the system downtime.
“We remain committed to providing efficient and uninterrupted services to our community,” said Tshite.
On Monday, 06 October 2025, the municipality announced that the municipal systems are currently offline due to power interruptions and technical challenges.
The public and all municipal officials were informed that the Information Technology (IT) Unit is working diligently to resolve the matter and restore full functionality as soon as possible.
During this period, all municipal buildings experienced system downtime, which temporarily affected access to certain municipal services.
The municipality apologised for any inconvenience this may cause and appreciates the continued patience and understanding of both residents and officials as efforts are made to normalize operations.
