Sasolburg police arrests four suspects with drugs

Free State police have arrested four male suspects between Thursday, 9 April and Friday, 10 April 2026 in Orangeville.

This comes after members of Platoon 02 acted on information regarding alleged drug dealing activities in the Zonke Section of Oranjeville.

According to the police, upon arrival at the identified address, a 21-year-old male suspect granted permission for a search.

During the search, suspected drugs were found in his possession, leading to his immediate arrest.
“Further information gathered during the operation led officers to additional suspects in a sequence of follow-up actions. In the Potoloha Section, a 22-year-old male suspect was arrested after being found in possession of eight half mandrax tablets and 40 quarter mandrax tablets ‘5 Star’.

“In the Ditwebeng Section, a 25-year-old male suspect was arrested after being found in possession of 12 ziplock bags containing suspected crystal methamphetamine. In a subsequent operation in the Potoloha Section, another 22-year-old male suspect was arrested after officers recovered 11 full mandrax tablets.”

All seized substances have been confiscated and will undergo further investigation.

The suspects are expected to appear soon before the Heilbron Magistrate’s Court on charges of possession of drugs.
