Mamelodi Sundowns Ladies continued their flawless start to the 2026 Hollywoodbets Super League season with a composed 2-0 victory over TS Galaxy Queens at Mpumalanga Stadium.
The Brazilians produced another disciplined display at both ends of the pitch, keeping a clean sheet while securing maximum points to extend their winning streak to five consecutive league victories.
Sundowns made the perfect start and were rewarded in the opening minute when the in-form Isabella Ludwig found the back of the net following a well-worked attacking move, handing Banyana Ba Style an early advantage.
Despite TS Galaxy Queens responding with determination, Banyana Ba Style remained defensively organized and controlled large spells of possession. They limited the visitors’ opportunities while continuing to pose a threat on the counterattack.
The result was put beyond doubt in the 78th minute when Ronnel Donnelly sealed the victory with Sundowns’ second goal of the afternoon, capping off another impressive team performance.
While the team delivered another disciplined display from start to finish, Karabo Dlamini’s commanding performance in defence earned her the Player of the Match award. Reflecting on the performance, defender Lebogang Ramalepe praised the team’s resilience against a determined TS Galaxy side.
“Credit must go to the girls because they showed great character from the first whistle until the final whistle. We stayed together during the difficult periods, remained disciplined and continued believing in what we had prepared for during the week. It is a very good win for us and another big confidence booster as we continue building momentum. We know there is still a long way to go, so we have to stay focused, keep working hard and continue improving with every game.”
Midfielder Noxolo Cesane credited the collective effort behind another important victory.
“I think we did really well today and, most importantly, we executed what was expected of us by the technical team. Everyone understood their role and worked hard for one another throughout the match. It was a complete team performance because every player contributed, whether starting or coming off the bench. We brought our A game, remained patient and took our chances when they came. Winning matches like this is only possible when everyone gives their best and that is exactly what we did today.”
