JOHANNESBURG — The moment Amakhosi supporters have eagerly anticipated has finally arrived. Starting today, Friday, 24 July, the highly anticipated Kaizer Chiefs 2026/27 home and away jerseys are officially available at retail outlets nationwide.
Following their initial unveiling on 9 July, fans can now buy, customise, and wear the new gear. The launch arrives just ahead of a massive weekend for the club.
Designed in collaboration with Kappa, this year’s collection features a major functional twist. Because South Africa is currently in the middle of a cold winter season, the jerseys are available in both short-sleeve and long-sleeve formats. This versatility makes them perfect for both stadium wear and everyday street fashion.
Kaizer Chiefs Marketing and Commercial Director, Jessica Motaung, expressed her excitement for the rollout and urged fans to show out in their new gear this weekend.
“We believe supporters have had time to save up for the jersey and we are looking forward to seeing them looking fashionable in the new tops this coming Sunday when we play in the Toyota Cup against Young Africans in Rustenburg. We urge them to go to their nearest Kappa retail stores, Kaizer Chiefs store at the Village, various retailers who sell the jersey and get their drip. Alternatively, they can go online.”
The jerseys are priced competitively for the new season, with options catering to different style preferences:
- Short-Sleeve Jersey: R1399
- Long-Sleeve Jersey: R1599
Supporters can pick up the new Gold & Black merchandise immediately at several physical and digital locations:
- Official Stores: Kappa retail outlets and the Kaizer Chiefs Store at Naturena Village.
- Online Shopping: Available 24/7 at the official digital mall via www.kcdigistore.com.
- Major Retailers: Nationwide stockists include Studio 88, TotalSports, Sportsmans Warehouse, and Mike’s Sports.
With Amakhosi embarking on a fresh campaign, management is calling on the massive fan base to secure their authentic gear early, customise their names, and proudly paint the stands gold and black.
Meanwhile, the club has officially completed the permanent signing of forward Khanyisa Mayo from Algerian side CR Belouizdad. The Soweto giants exercised their option to buy the player following his season-long loan spell at Naturena.
The transfer was finalized for an undisclosed fee, widely reported in football circles to be worth close to R10 million ($550,000).
The 27-year-old forward has committed his long-term future to the club, bolstering the frontline for what promises to be a demanding domestic and continental campaign.
Mayo endured an injury-interrupted debut season at Naturena, featuring in 15 competitive matches and scoring twice. Despite those setbacks, the club’s leadership has shown immense faith in his proven capabilities.
The club released an official statement confirming the transaction on Thursday:
“Kaizer Chiefs have completed the permanent signing of Khanyisa Mayo from Algerian giants CR Belouizdad, following his loan spell with the Glamour Boys last season. The deal was finalised for an undisclosed fee agreed upon between the two Clubs.”
